High spending Chinese students shun UK
Two new surveys published today show that 2 in 5 high value Chinese school students have ditched the UK as their preferred place to study in favour of other places such as the US, Canada and Australia.  The surveys will add to the concern about the drop in the number of applications to UK universities from international students.

New campaign formed to promote education exports Exporting Education UK (ExEd)
A new broad-based campaign group has been formed to promote the value of education exports to UK plc. The group, known as Exporting Education UK (ExEd), has 13 founder members spanning UK-based companies and organisations involved in all elements of education as an export – from independent schools, Sixth Form, FE & HE colleges, Professional Colleges to education publishers, all of whom are exemplars of UK education.
