ExEdUK holds networking event with LEARN committee of educational attachés from London embassies

Exporting Education UK (www.exeduk.com) held its first networking lunch for members of the LEARN Committee of educational attachés, hosted by DLD College London.  It was an exciting opportunity for embassy attendees to network with international education experts and leaders from across the UK education sector.

Jacqui Jenkins, Head of Higher Education Engagement at the British Council, kicked-off our networking lunch with an informative presentation outlining the new developments in the Education is GREAT Campaign and the role the British Council is playing in its’ success. Attendees got to sample the new Study UK: Discover You website, designed for prospective students to UK education and transnational education, as well as ask questions on how they could get involved in the development of the campaign and digital platform.

Embassy attendees represented some of the UK’s top sending nationalities including Mexico, Brunei, Cyprus, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates.

Guests were also able to tour the brand new facilities at DLD College London, which recently opened in early 2016. DLD is an independent college located in Waterloo, welcoming students from all over the world to study a wide range of disciplines and subjects from BTEC, GCSE, A levels and Foundation courses. The tour also included a look at DLD’s onsite student accommodation providing guests a glimpse into the life of an international student living and studying in the heart of London.
